This painting is from the artist's Translations collection - These paintings share themes of intangible or temporary experinces. The forms are taken from flower blossom, the shapes of rivers and patterns of waves. This is something which comes up again and again in the artists work as she examines our connection to each other and the natural world.
This large oil painting - Aurora is about memory and seemingly mundane events which have some magic in them. The sparks of life.
This painting takes it's varied hues and gentle forms from the Auror Borealis. It was visibe from the UK for a short time and though I tried to see it from the fields near my house I couldn't but I went up anyway to see and the stars were out instead.
It was just a small shake up to my routine and we didnt find what we were looking for but I will remember the stars and the cool night air.
This painting will be carefully wrapped and shipped in a box with a certificate of Authenticity from the artist's studio.
