This painting is a celebration of wild nature and movement. 
The artist is often taking her inspiration from nature and this painting is about complex interconnected ecosystems. Coral reefs and lichen inspire the forms and the piece has a real sense of this aliveness.
Movement is central to Genevieve Leavold’s practice and so if you look at the detailed images you can really see how the brushwork is layered in these very specific movements.
