This collection was created in 2021 in response to my sense that the world was becoming a hard place, that i felt that we were being asked to toughen up and become hard things. 

 

My response to this feeling, this sense of the weightiness of the world post-pandemic was to explore other ways of being strong.  I came across the phrase above which relates to the way that water moves round objects. 

 

This inspired the series Yielding.
